(3) Part protection: unprotected parts, such as the exposed part of the piston rod, need to be protected with special grease; The bearing shall be protected with sealing tape, and then covered with furnace charge packaging to prevent moisture and rust.

(4) Wrap the whole oil cylinder with oil paper or wrapping film, and place it in a padded place. Do not contact the ground directly, and try to store it in a wooden box.

2. Short term storage

Generally, 10% mixed antirust oil will be added into the cylinder body after delivery test of hydraulic cylinder. Therefore, no special measures can be taken for short-term storage of no more than three months. Storage is also a way to maintain equipment. You should learn the correct storage method of hydraulic cylinders. For cylinders that have been purchased but are not used during the Spring Festival holiday, you can refer to the following storage methods:

(1) Store in a dry, clean, well ventilated environment without corrosive gas;

(2) Place the hydraulic cylinder vertically with the piston rod facing upwards. This can prevent corrosion that may be caused by condensation inside the hydraulic cylinder, and reduce the deformation probability of the seal caused by the dead weight of the piston and piston rod. It also saves storage space.

(3) Keep the protective cover of the oil port until the position of the connecting pipeline.

3. Hydraulic cylinder installed on the equipment

For hydraulic cylinders that have been installed on the machine and used, if they are not used for a short time, it is necessary to retract all piston rods back into the hydraulic cylinders. They should not be exposed to the air to avoid corrosion and rust.

4. Inspection before use

(1) Long term storage hydraulic cylinder

If the storage time of the hydraulic cylinder is more than one year, or the actual storage conditions cannot meet the previous requirements, a comprehensive inspection must be carried out before the hydraulic cylinder is put back into use, and its usability must be confirmed by functional test. These functional tests include:

① Increase the pressure for 10 minutes to check whether there is oil leakage inside and outside;

(2) Hydraulic cylinder for short-term storage

For hydraulic cylinders that are idle for a short time, the availability verification is not required before use, and the following checks can be performed:

① Check whether the connection parts such as threads and bolts are loose;

② Check the sealing performance of the oil cylinder, especially the joint between the piston rod and the cylinder head for leakage;

③ Carry out a full extension and full contraction test run for 5 strokes, and then run with load. This can exhaust the air in the system, preheat each system, and effectively avoid the existence of air or water in the system.
