1、 External leakage
1. The seal between the extended end of the piston rod and the piston rod, and the seal between the extended end of the piston rod and the cylinder liner are damaged, mainly due to the aging of the seal. In addition, the seal is also damaged by squeezing the seal with too much force.
2. Cracking of oil cylinder inlet and outlet pipe joints will also lead to leakage of hydraulic cylinder.
3. The piston rod is strained, grooved and pitted.
4. Deterioration of lubricating oil causes abnormal temperature rise of oil cylinder, which promotes aging of sealing ring.
5. Oil leakage caused by frequent use beyond the pressure range of oil cylinder.
2、 Internal leakage
1. The wear ring on the piston is severely worn, causing the friction between the piston and the cylinder liner to strain the cylinder liner, piston and seal.
2. The seal has failed in long-term use, and the piston seal (mostly U, V, Y rings, etc.) is aging.
3. The hydraulic oil is polluted, and a large amount of impurities enter the oil cylinder, which will wear the piston seal to bad.
3、 Precautions
1. Pay attention to protecting the outer surface of the piston rod to prevent collision and scratch. Clean the sand on the cylinder seal dust ring and the exposed piston rod frequently to prevent the dirt stuck on the surface of the piston rod from entering the cylinder, which may cause damage to the piston, cylinder barrel or seals.
2. Pay attention to regularly check the connection parts such as threads and bolts, and tighten them immediately if they are loose.
3. Frequently lubricate the connection parts to prevent corrosion or abnormal wear without oil. Especially for some parts with corrosion, they should be treated in time to avoid oil leakage of the hydraulic cylinder due to corrosion.
4. During normal maintenance, the hydraulic oil should be replaced regularly, and the system filter screen should be cleaned in time to ensure the cleanness of the hydraulic oil, which is very important for extending the service life of the hydraulic cylinder.
5. Pay attention to control the temperature of the system. If the oil temperature is too high, the service life of the seal will be reduced. If the oil temperature is too high for a long time, the seal will be deformed, which will seriously lead to the failure of the seal.
6. During each use, the full extension and full contraction test run shall be carried out for 3-5 strokes before operation. The air in the system shall be exhausted and the systems shall be preheated to effectively avoid Hydraulic system Air/water exists to avoid gas explosion and internal leakage of oil cylinder.
4、 The emergency method for internal leakage of oil cylinder is:
(1) Remove the oil cylinder, drain the oil in the upper and lower cavities, and take out the piston from the cylinder barrel.
(2) If there is no new rubber ring, take down the old rubber ring, put 2-3 layers of adhesive tape in the piston groove, and then install the rubber ring into the groove. When the rubber ring is about 1.5mm higher than the piston, press the piston into the cylinder barrel and reinstall the oil cylinder.
