Oil cylinder manufacturer How to prevent Hydraulic cylinder Cavitation?
When the hydraulic cylinder is being repaired, it can be seen that there are some honeycombed holes on the inner wall of the hydraulic cylinder, piston or piston rod surface, which are all caused by cavitation, so it is necessary to make targeted prevention of cavitation of the hydraulic cylinder.
(1) Main causes of cavitation
(1) The essence of cavitation. With the gradual increase of pressure, the gas in the oil will become bubbles. When the pressure rises to a certain limit value, these bubbles will break under the action of high pressure, so that the high-temperature and high-pressure gas will quickly act on the surface of the parts, causing cavitation of the hydraulic cylinder, causing corrosive damage to the parts.
(2) The unqualified hydraulic oil results in cavitation. Ensuring the quality of hydraulic oil is an important factor to prevent cavitation. If the anti foam property of oil is poor, it is easy to produce foam, which will lead to cavitation. Secondly, the change frequency of oil pressure is too fast and too high, which will directly cause the formation of bubbles and accelerate the bubble rupture speed. The test proves that the cavitation speed will be accelerated in the parts with high pressure change frequency. For example, at the inlet and return ports of the hydraulic cylinder, due to the relatively high frequency of pressure changes, the degree of cavitation is also relatively higher than other parts. In addition, overheating oil will also increase the probability of cavitation. Hydraulic system The insufficient exhaust will lead to the existence of gas in the system, which may cause cavitation under the action of high temperature and pressure.
(3) Cavitation is caused by poor coolant quality. When the coolant contains corrosive media, such as various acid radical ions, oxidants, etc., chemical and electrochemical corrosion will easily occur, and under their combined action, cavitation will also accelerate; If the cooling system is well maintained, cavitation can be prevented. For example, if the pressure cap of the radiator of the cooling system is well maintained, the coolant pressure of the radiator can always be higher than the steam pressure, thus preventing cavitation.
